I’ve finished three panels for the King Bones graphic novel and also finished another painting for my succulent series. The kids are back in school and things are starting to settle into a nice routine.

Ahhhhhhhhh. I have quiet, but I have a bit of work to do. I’m illustrating a picture book for Blooming Tree Press. The title of the book, which I love, is called There is a Yak in My Bed! It was written by Lillian Pluta from San Antonio. The text is fun and full of energy. I can’t wait to put my spin on it. I had to do a quick illustration for the publisher’s catalogue. I’m still working on the character sketches…but this spot art is a start.

At the moment, I’m breaking down the text into a 32 page picture book. I’m thinking about end papers.. And spot art at the dedication page. I do lot’s of thinking before I start drawing. Lot’s and lot’s of thinking!
