I’m writing a story called Who Am I. The idea sprang up from an image I had in my head of a baby floating in space. Odd what the mind thinks of isn’t it?
As with other stories I have written, the image came first. It is a very backwards way of writing a book. The story completely unfolds as I paint. Most of the stories I write and images I draw are quirky and odd. But lately, I have felt a bit softer. More nurturing! I’ve changed the look of the baby from the first sketch. The blanket is now yellow and I added pink and blue to the picture. I want the book to be for both boys and girls. Having two boys, I often forget how wonderful little girls are.
