Mid November, I went to Sedona with my mother. Every year, she and I take a vacation together. We’ve been to Sedona, AZ, Mendocino, CA, and Santa Fe NM.
Our next planned vacation will be to the Myrtle Plantation in LA. It is suppose to be one of the most haunted places in the country. My mother and I are both odd like that and can’t wait to go and wander around the moss-covered trees.
This year was great though. The leaves were just starting to change and the weather was perfect for long hikes. There is something about Sedona that invites a sense of peace and balance. We stayed in a cabin by the water and fell asleep to a roaring fire each night. No television, no phones. We only had books, cards, and good conversation to pass the time.
This was part of an old farm (I think). The only part left was an old stone fireplace and remnants of a few walls. This I believe was an old storage area for grain. It had been cut into the rocks.
